Representative Xavier Becerra became a cosponsor of H.R. 676 on 11/17/2005.
He subsequently renewed that commitment to universal health care, Medicare for All, in 2007, 2009, and 2011.

10-Jul-2007 - Health Care is a Right, Not a Privilege

Rep. Becerra explained why he supports a single payer, universal health care system at a “Coffee With Your Congressman” town hall meeting. He titled his talk as “Health care is a right, not a privilege”. His audio of that talk is no longer available at his U.S. House’s website “Becerra Podcasts”, but it was an excellent 4:00 minute audio by Rep. Becerra (Healthcaremustbearightnotap.mp3 if you want to contact his office’s staff to inquire about it)
