  • Thanks and encouragement to single-payer supporters
    • Thank those who are in the Voters’ Guide, especially those with a ***** in the right column of the tables.
    • Encourage those who are not highlighted with an ***** to issue more communications, especially on the internet, so that their strong support can be publicly communicated at this web site.
  • How to determine if a current U.S. Representative or U.S. Senator … or U.S. election candidate … supports single-payer.
    • See the Voters’ Guide.
    • See Supporters by State
    • Note about additions: if a person needs to be added about them being a supporter or if an improvement in the information is available, you or they can submit the location of where the documentation of their support can be seen on the internet.
  • How to determine from a candidate’s press releases and speeches whether or not they support single-payer:
    • They will specifically say “single-payer” or “I fully support U.S. House Resolution 676”
    • They won’t say “universal health care” without also saying single-payer national health insurance.
    • They won’t say “steps to universal coverage.”
    • They might say “single-payer or other non-profit health care financing like Germany or France.”
    • They will be strongly supportive of House Resolutions 676, as the starting point for proposed legislation, from which the single-payer law will be established.
    • They shouldn’t need to be asked about single-payer. Whenever the subject of health care is discussed, they will speak of their support, reminding you that they support single-payer.
