  • How to determine from a candidate’s press releases and speeches whether or not they support single-payer:
    • They will specifically say “single-payer health care” or “I fully support U.S. House Resolution 676”
    • They won’t say “universal health care” without also saying single-payer health care or Improved Medicare for All.
    • They won’t say “steps to universal coverage.”
    • They might say “single-payer or other non-profit health care financing like Germany or France.”
    • They will be strongly supportive of House Resolutions 676, as the starting point for proposed legislation, from which the single-payer law will be established.
    • They shouldn’t need to be asked about single-payer. Whenever the subject of health care is discussed, they will speak of their support, reminding you that they support single-payer.
