Clarification: The measurements of popular support among Americans very strongly indicate a desire for Improved Medicare for All when it is explained to them or it is asked of them in a clear manner. However, prior to 2012, most Americans had never heard of Improved Medicare for All … and/or … they had received enough propaganda against “single-payer” such that they were afraid of it. We must keep these in mind:
1) 70-80% in Opposition — That’s what has happened in the past. — the ability of media campaigns to influence public opinion to 70-80% against Improved Medicare for All and
2) 70-80% in Support — That’s what can happen in the future. — the ability of individual Americans and groups of Americans to inform each other and more firmly establish 70-80% not only supporting improved Medicare for All, but also not changing their opinion when the media campaigns occur. -
Notes are our personalized notes written on our letters that flow each month via the U.S. Mail to the U.S. Congress, as part of the campaign: “Million Letters for Health Care”, for which you can sign up here.
