Strategy to inform and invite to get an improved Medicare for All
Strategy
A Million Citizens: More Power Than Lobbyists
The immense power of the health insurance companies will be overcome with the overwhelming force of over one million knowledgeable Americans taking action:
over 2,000 knowledgeable constituents FLOODING the offices of each of the 435 U.S. Representatives,
… who love to report to the press that very strong input was received from their constituents on a topic and that they responded positively to the input …
with the communications occurring in a practical, consistent manner, such that our unified “voice” is clearly “heard”.
Related Factor. Communications in the U.S. Mail that include a note(s) provided by hand is much more powerful (practical) communication than a form letter, and the monthly reminder with suggestions makes the effort only 10-15 minutes per person as part of executing the strategy.
Strategic Actions: Inform, Invite, and Multiply
Individual Americans … alone or as part of local and state organizational efforts
— Inform citizens to help establish knowledgeable Americans
… using available resources to tell Americans about Improved Medicare for All
— Invite and Help interested, supportive citizens sign up to help establish a million participants in the Million Letters for Health Care campaign
… by showing them the what will happen and provide answers
… and helping them sign up
— Multiply the numbers of participants by each participant doing the activity of informing-inviting-helping ten or more other Americans.
Doing the Strategic Actions
Example of Taking Action
… to inform and invite
… and building our strength of numbers
Inform. At some computer screen(s) … or over the phone with the other person at their computer screen … introduce another American to Improved Medicare for All, such as showing them what will happen when we implement it … and providing them answers to their questions.
Invite. If the person is interested and supportive, ask them to participate in the letters campaign and help them sign up.
Multiply. Make more contacts and get at least ten Americans to sign up.
More About Taking Action
Who executes the strategic actions
Whether you act alone or with a small group or within an organization, know this: it is primarily individual Americans working alone or in small groups who will get an improved Medicare for All for the United States. So please feel VERY good about your role in taking action!
— An individual acting alone, as in the example above who informs others and helps ten other Americans sign up.
— An organization of any size or type that wants to do the plan.
— A couple of friends or acquaintances getting together (face-to-face or by phone, near each other or very far apart) and doing whatever steps they can of the plan.
— An individual who does the steps of the plan, such as a person who has no computer who uses a computer at a local library or union hall or church or a friend’s house to do whatever parts of the plan that is possible for them.
