Questions About Legislation

Questions that may lead to improvements that you
want to see planned for our health care for all system

Notice

If you have any question about the legislation related to H.R. 676, then ...

1. Refer to the Legislation. Please refer the the H.R. 676 web page for the current version of the legislation. Confirm whether or not your topic is addressed there are not and how it is addressed.

2. Prepare. If you have a question about a topic that is NOT included in the legislation … or not in the way you prefer … and would like to see it be considered for a possible change, addition or deletion to H.R. 676, then be prepared to bring up your topic at the appropriate time.

A. Appropriate Time to Submit Questions and Give Input.
The appropriate time will likely be sometime AFTER we get solid support in the U.S. House and solid support in the U.S. Senate. Then there will be serious consideration of the legislation.
B. Preparations
Please start getting ready and getting organized in advance to raise your question at the appropriate time. It is CRITICAL that you prepare in advance to whatever depth you and your group(s) feel is appropriate. If nobody prepares and then communicates at the appropriate time, do not count on the U.S. Congress positively responding to your question(s) and related request(s).
If there is an organization(s) which is already focusing on making progress on the topic about which you are concerned, participate in their organization(s) to whatever degree you can … and at least read whatever communications and documentation that they produce about your topic.
3. Participate.  That “appropriate time”, above, will likely NEVER come until Americans are informed and are communicating to Congress and others. We recommend that you participate in the education and communications campaign called Million Letters for Health Care Campaign. Follow the links that are at the top and bottom of this web page to know what every American should know and sign up to stand up for single-payer health care, improved Medicare for All. The sign up step is your first step to participating in the campaign.

Advanced communications tip: As you and others who are concerned about your topic participate in the monthly communications, whenever you send a letter to one of your elected U.S. Representatives and/or U.S. Senators, you can include a brief note indicating that you would like support for your topic. The simpler the better, such as “Please support xxx xxx” (where xxx xxx is your topic).

It is only in our strength of informed Americans who are communicating to their elected U.S. Representatives and U.S. Senators that the people (American citizens; voters) will have the power of our influence. At that time we as a nation can have a reasonable discussion about questions, such as questions about benefits.
