Realize that a question can often be "converted" into an objection.

Is this going to be another government program? Who will manage it?

I do not want another government program.

Is U.S. health care the best in the world? U.S. health care is the best in the world. We don't need any improvements to it.
Don't the U.S. excellent 5-year cancer survival rates indicate excellent health performance? Our excellent 5-year cancer survival rates are proof that we have the best health care in the world. We're all set.
What support will we give to the many employees who will need to find new jobs? Single-payer health care will mean the elimination of tens of thousands of U.S. jobs.
What will happen to the income of family physicians? Physicians' incomes will be cut dramatically with single-payer health care.
Is single-payer health care the same as ‘socialized medicine’? I do not want socialized medicine.
Will there be a large tax increase? I don't want the large tax increase that will be required to pay for single-payer.
Will improved Medicare for All hurt medical research and innovation? Single-payer will kill our ability to do research and innovation.
Wouldn't Americans' purchase of catastrophic insurance solve many of our problems? That’s the advice I give my adult children who are single. The increased use of catastrophic insurance could solve many of our problems.
Isn't the United States too large to have improved Medicare for All? Other countries are relatively small compared to ours. The United States is much too large to have improved Medicare for All.
Doesn’t Canada’s health care have serious problems? I do not want Canada’s health care with all of its problems.
Aren’t patients flocking from Canada to the U.S. in large numbers to get good health care? Canadians come to the U.S. in large numbers to get good health care.
