Motivation of You and Participants
Ideas to consider …
- Think and act positive. It is very important to think and act positive as we move forward.
- Have a partner. Have one other person with whom you talk about your activities in the campaign, especially if you are spreading the word.
- Keep good records. When we do get someone to write a note and send it within our district, it’s best that we keep a careful Record of our Participants so that we can remind them (if they want a reminder) when to send their next note and confirm on or near each date of the schedule that they do send their note.
- Have you and your partner both keep the records, whether you use paper or computer. Why is this a motivator? Because you will feel good that you have 1) maximized the chances for maintaining the records well and 2) maximized the chances that your support of your ten or twenty people will be completed successfully every three months, even if one of you is out of town or ill.
- Build enthusiasm Each note will truly have an impact because: it has value in itself (personally written); it is sent on the same day as thousands of other high-value notes.
- Motivate others with key information Consider printing these pages for your reference when you explain single-payer to other people. Have a few extra copies for someone who has no computer at their residence.
