Nurses per 1,000 population. Figure 1. We already have a ratio of nurses that is comparable to (actually higher than) other countries for having health care for all.

More Nurses Needed. We may have enough nurses for the initial implementation, but more nurses will be needed.

Physicians per 1,000 population. Figure 2. Since the U.S. has a higher physician ratio than two of the top performing countries, we should be able to smoothly manage the transition to having health care for all.

More physicians needed. Consider all the physicians who left their professions or retired early because they were upset from all the costly administrative burdens that will be eliminated. This is a well-documented problem in the United States, resulting in a huge source of experience and expertise that will provide the support for a smooth implementation. However, more physicians will be needed.

Number of Hospital Beds per 1,000 population. Figure 3. We have a similar ratio of beds as four of the six countries, so we should be able to manage the transition to having health care for everyone.

More beds needed. It will be best to add more capacity.

Additional Information

About Congress. Physicians who are currently members of the U.S. Congress and talk so very much about health care can help during the implementation period.

Hospital Beds. Facilities to provide more hospital beds can be constructed strategically to best serve the needs of Americans in under-served areas of the United States.

About Physician Satisfaction. With Improved Medicare for All physicians will be happier due to many factors, such as these examples: more time spent on caring for patients, a smaller office staff to manage, less administration to consume time, less asking for permission of health insurance companies to provide health care, significantly lower malpractice insurance premiums. Physicians will be glad to return to work! Students will be glad to enter the medical field!
