Free Health Care (? … you decide)

Everyone pays a little; everyone gets a lot

Some Americans might never be completely comfortable with the words “free health care”, saying that products and services are normally not truly "free".

But consider what follows regarding national single-payer health care, Improved Medicare for All:

  • #1 Everyone pays. (?)
    • Ok, not really. Not “everyone”. For example, not the unemployed who are also among the poorest people who have no income from anywhere, except their job that is now lost.
    • But at least some people do pay: those who get a paycheck, those who have employees and those who have enough money that they can buy shares of stock and perhaps buy a million dollar home or two or three. They all chip in.
  • #2 Everyone gets care.
    • Period. End of Story.
    • No major medical bills showing up at the house!
    • Simplicity at its finest! Isn’t that great?
    • We need it too, just like all the other industrialized countries!

Additional Information

Story about a Rich Man I don’t want to give away who this is, so let’s just say he’s someone I know. He was on a two-week visit in England. He had some significant pains, so an England resident suggested that he go to the nearby hospital. They tested him from about 9:30 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. A whole day of testing and evaluation! At the end of the day he asked the physician where he should pay. The physician clearly and emphatically said: “You don’t understand, sir. You don’t pay; I pay.”

That’s the way it is, folks. The physician in England was clearly trying to communicate that the other industrialized countries take care of people automatically and that the residents of that country each pay a little to get a lot. It’s enough to want it so badly that you could cry … and then get your monthly reminders to take action to get it!

Have the vision:
"Show your card and get care."
Say it like it was here already:

Or say the vision like this:
"We have National Single-Payer Health Care,
Improved Medicare for All. We take care of people!"
