In 2003, as seen clearly at his 6/30/2003 speech either here (video) or here (video), he was a very strong single-payer supporter.
He knows that single-payer is the best!
From his clear statement to the press on 4/3/2007 in Portsmouth NH we know that he must have a mandate from the people. A large group of citizens in his own health care community meeting citizens expressed themselves strongly and clearly that Americans want single-payer. He told that group of citizens that 1,000 to 2,000 letters in every U.S. Congressional District will get results. He promised that the recipients of the 1,000 to 2,000 letters would listen.
